The Second City Outreach & Diversity returns April 14th at UP Comedy Club with its monthly curated R.E.A.C.H. (Risky, Eclectic Artists Comedy Hour) show bringing together some of the city's most diverse performers in comedy and performance to support Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Performers scheduled to appear include: Lincoln Lodge Cast member and award winning Storyteller, Caitlin Bergh, Burlesque performer Tamale Sepp, Comedian Paul Thomas of Comedogenic, Congo Square Actor Anthony Irons, Collaboration performer Jennifer Shin, and DJ Comic Jasbir Singh to name a few. There will also be a brief presentation from A Long Walk Home, a local community organization that works to end violence against women.
"R.E.A.C.H." is hosted by local stand-up and host on WBEZ's Vocalo Radio, Brian Babylon.
Director of Outreach & Diversity and curator Dionna Griffin-Irons states, "This collective is an urban melting pot of Chicago's newest and established voices in theatre and comedy addressing real social issues in a humorous and performance context. It’s exciting to see and hear these voices together on one stage no matter their race, sexual orientation or gender."
