Summer in The Second City Are you paying attention? It's Summer! So it's only 50 degrees, and you haven't managed to pick out a bathing suit style, but it's June. Finally! So it's time to come celebrate the season with The Second City's newest sketch comedy show: Summer in the Second City. This show features some of the finest archival sketches from the 54 year history of The Second City including a musical homage to the 105th anniversary of the Cub's World Series win, a date with Charlie Chaplin and a shocking amnesia experiment that promises to make you pay attention to things you'd rather forget.

IMPROV EXTRAVAGANZA EXPLOSION
"High-energy and hilarious – even for the adults!" – Chicago Parent Back by popular demand! This hilarious kids show will be returning in the summer for 2013 for a limited run. The Second City performers lace up their sneakers to bring you an hour of interactive improvisation and sketch comedy where we pull ideas straight from the crowd - you never know how the story will pan out! REACH: Risky, Eclectic Artists' Comedy Hour See an urban melting pot of stand-up, music, poetry, performance and improv all in one night! Bringing together the city's most diverse voices in comedy and performance art, REACH artists perform theme driven material on history, women, sex and violence, race and LGBTQ themes. Playwrights Theatre Club UP Comedy Club is pleased to host the 60th reunion of the Playwrights Theatre Club (1953-1955). Chicago Tribune's Chris Jones will moderate a panel of original members including Ed Asner, Helen Axelrood, Rolf Forsberg, George Goritz, Sheldon Patinkin, Bernie Sahlins, and David Shepherd, along with Joyce Piven and Joann Shapiro. The Playwright's Theatre Club led to the creation of The Compass Players and later The Second City.
