Breakup at a Wedding-Movie screening
Seen through the lens of an unduly ambitious wedding videographer, BREAKUP AT A WEDDING gives us the nuptials of Alison Jones and Phil Havemeyer in all of its sprawling, messy, and often wildly inebriated glory.
On the eve of their wedding, Alison gets cold feet and decides to break up with her fiancé Phil. But rather than face the embarrassment of calling off the ceremony, Alison suggests to Phil that they proceed with a sham wedding. Phil is more than game to try, secretly hoping that a surprise gift he has for Alison will ultimately change her mind. Yet once the guests begin to arrive, more complications ensue than either of them could have ever imagined - even if they did know their wedding was a lie.
From the arrival at the hotel that hosts the affair, to the hung-over Sunday morning brunch, the intrepid videographer, aided by his hapless assistant, captures every detail, even (and especially) the private moments we never see.
Since their first short, PILGRIMS, went viral, PERIODS. Their films have been featured in the Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, Film Independent, Entertainment Weekly and New York Magazine. In August of 2012, PERIODS. opened the HollyShorts Film Festival at Grauman’s Chinese with a retrospective of their work. www.PERIODSFilms.com
